things have been pretty sucky (still!). i was stuck in camp for 2 weeks plus, which really made me borderline insane. bleh. don't want to think a bout it anymore, just glad to be back home.
HAPPY EASTER
Easter brunch this year was, as expected, filled with awesome food and screaming kids running around. fun!


ok tons of great new music.
maybe its a continuation of last years dreamwave thing, with the whole synths and disco feel going on... but this year things are getting all bright and sunny with "summer" themed music. musicians like washed out, toro y moi, millionyoung, sunglasses (link to an amazing rainbow/seizure video) and so on and so forth make really colourful sounds. hypnotic hazy synths, off-key whines, heavy reverbs and distorted vocals.
kisses- sounds like whitest boy alive?
active child- love the song "wilderness". i'm floatinggggggg
beach house-really huge songs that exist somewhere in space, or deep underwater.

on another front, i've been listening to quite a bit of lo-fi shit
surfer blood- generic garage band sound but somehow extra catchy
best coast- i'm really hooked onto "when i'm with you". great tune.
cults- vintage girly feel?
lonely galaxy- have a heart= awesome song when you're feeling down, or even when you're not.

salem- witch hunting satanic kind of vibe... dark dark stuff
